Dr. Ion Bogdan Codorean is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a specialization in sports traumatology. He holds a doctorate in medicine and has a primary focus on sports-related injuries within the field of orthopedics.
Dr. Codorean holds prestigious positions within the medical community, serving as the President of the Romanian Society of Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology, the President of the Medical Commission of the Romanian Football Federation, and as a Member of the Medical Commission of the Romanian Olympic Committee. Currently, he holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Pharmacy and Medicine Carol Davila in Bucharest, a role he has held since 2015.
Throughout his career, Dr. Codorean has demonstrated expertise in arthroscopic surgery, a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat joint problems. He has received certifications from reputable organizations, including membership in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery, and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) since 2008, and The International Society of Arthroscopy Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine since 2008.
